I know for a fact that this is going to sound weird to you, but ... I get the sense that the lead singer and I look a lot alike. But wait -- here's the thing:
I sense this in the same way I hear my own voice. In other words, as I hear myself speak, my voice sounds familiar and right, yet I know I'm not hearing how my voice really sounds. So when I see the Cut Copy guy and I think he and I look alike (like twins), I'm also aware that no, no we don't look alike.
Am I right? And if so, in which way? I need a referee for my perceptions.
Also -- also! -- Cut Copy is one of my favorite bands. I really enjoy Bright Like Neon Love. I respond to their bass lines, which I think are smart and clever. I like how the band uses the lead singer's voice, too.
Cory, it doesn't sound weird at all. I think that's one of the reasons I like this video so much - it's like an alternate universe. The first time I saw it, I thought, "When did Cory turn 35?"
That is exactly what I thought.
Anyway, this thought is pleasing to me as that would make me 35 in this alternate universe also (or up to 36 and two weeks). And everything seems okay. You're doing well, so I must be doing well. It's going to be okay! is what this video tells me.
